Removing write-protect from Dell USB pendrive windows recovery

 Download the SMI tool from https://www.usbdev.ru/files/smi/smimptool/

and to determine chipset can you this: Download ChipGenius 4.21.0701 - LO4D.com

When you run the tool, take note of the firmware (download the correct rar from the site)



If you are not using the correct one you will get the following error:
